A woman.

brain-food:

I’m not less of a woman because I don’t share the same fashions, music, food, wine, film, or hobby interests as you. Because we have different views on all of the above doesn’t mean you’re more of a woman than me.

In fact, all those things shouldn’t define me as a woman. I’m not womanly or “more of a woman” because I like a certain kind of wine and listen to a certain kind of music? I don’t think so. I’m a woman, because, I feel like a woman. Because emotionally, mentally, and physically am empowered by acknowledging and knowing that I am a woman. Not because wearing a particular garment addresses me as so. Surely they accentuate a part of me. They culture my mind and expand my palette in life. But it’s not what makes me a woman. And because of this, you shouldn’t lift your nose in superiority when we cross paths with opposite experiences and interests.

I am a woman, just like you are.
